It is home to the Kings and the Royal family members, civil servants, expatriates, politicians, business persons and monks. Enjoy this cultural mix based on livelihood. Of culture we will take you through temples, dzongs, chortens, museums, handicraft stores, parks and many more. Allow yourself to meet both traditional and contemporary artist.

In the morning after breakfast, we will visit Folk Heritage Museum, a museum that you can experience Bhutan's rich cultural history. It is dedicated to connecting people with the rich Bhutanese folk heritage and history through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs and documentation of of Bhutanese rural life.

Next visit is worth a visit to experience the living national art of weaving. Bhutanese textiles are an integral part of its cultural and heritage and are unique for their diversity and sophistication. This museum was established in 2001 under the royal patronage of Her Majestry Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck. Her Majesty has given a new platform to the nation's textiles and to Bhutanese weavers and boasts of an invaluable collection of antique textile artifacts of the country.

Visit Trashichhoedzong that has been the seat of the government since 1952 and presently houses the throne room and offices of His Majesty the King, the Secretariat and the Ministries of Home affairs and Finance. The Dzong is located close to Thimphu town, next to. the banks of the Wang Chhu River. It is an impressively large structure, surrounded by well-kept lawns and beautiful gardens.

After that we will visit paper making factory. Witnesses the art of making traditional Bhutanese paper.

Conclude the day by visiting Simtokha Dzong, five miles from Thimphu. On a lofty ridge, stands Simtokha Dzong the oldest fortress in the Kingdom.

Before returning to the hotel, you can walk to local Craft Bazar. This market offers genuine Bhutanese arts and crafts thus contributing to promotion, protection, and preservation of traditional arts.
